in the Tales of Ravenloft short stories Strahd impreesed upon me to be subtle, strong willed and a sense of responsibility for HIS people...yet straight forward when confronting the antogonists of the story. Perhaps Lord Strahd still has some sense of duty to Barovia and not meerly a posessive natu...

In my history the rivalry between Strahd and Azalin started over Strahd possessing the Necronomicon but denies Azalin access to it. It contains the only sure way out of Ravenloft. Azalin knows this. Strahd doesn't. Just remember to correctly pronounce the magic words '' Klaatu barada nikto '', or t...

How do you portray Strahd?
This question is for dungeon masters but everyone should chime in. When and if your players meet Strahd how do you portray him? Based on the Ravenloft fiction he seems to have multiple personalities. In KNIGHT OF THE BLACK ROSE he is written as scheming and coy (and a little like Lestat with a subtl...

In my history the rivalry between Strahd and Azalin started over Strahd possessing the Necronomicon but denies Azalin access to it. It contains the only sure way out of Ravenloft. Azalin knows this. Strahd doesn't. Is that really necessary? I shouldn't judge, though. You seem to prefer a pulp Raven...

In hybird form they could speak Mordentish if they chose to, but I would presume that they mostly chitter, which is effectively the language of wererats and that ordinary rats are presumed to speak and understand to a very limited degree. It not at all clear whether anyone beyond Jacqueline herself...

I don't know much about Warforged (I find the idea of playing one as interesting as playing a Droid in Star Wars, not at all) but how could something that was never technically alive be undead? The warforged aren't typical constructs-they are complete creatures, in and of themselves, just an odd me...
