Nice to see some disagreement. Those are good arguements. I wouldn't propose drastically changing the class...I think it needs some minor tweaks though... Like more weapon proficiencies, 4+ skill points...etc. Yes the sorcerer can be a terror magically...the wizard is just MORE. The wizard has a bet...

Sorcerers get 1 extra spell per day per spell level...but they get less spell levels than wizards. So really they don't... It is true they don't have to prepare spells...but they have an awful repetoire of spells to begin with so it balances out. Wizards get familiars too. A sorcerer in short is a c...

The Sorcerer
The sorcerer was one of my favourite new things in 3e...but it is so underpowered. I'm curious as to why it wasn't 'upgraded' with 3.5e like the ranger, monk and bard. Maybe it is because people like the style of the class so much. What is the consensus? underpowered? I certainly think so. She only ...

Not really... It just means you have no problem with doing your way. There are plenty of evil servants out there. Yes darklords are evil...but so are tavern owners, guildsmen, farmers...the list goes on. The base alignment for human is pretty much everything...that is to say its not really neutral a...

Evil isn't bad? I thought that was the whole concept of Evil... Sure an Evil person can do right things but that doesn't make them any less bad... (Which by the way is why I don't believe in a real world concept like that, no one in the real world is Evil. Immoral, Ammoral, or Crazy maybe but never...

I'm not saying something isn't evil just because there are shades. Fiend evil and Alignment evil are 2 entirely different things. A person can fall into an evil category and still be an alright person most of the time. And no we wouldn't be throwing everyone that is 'evil' off to jail...you have to ...

I think evil is taken way too far in this case as well. Every evil character in the game is not a villian. There are a lot more to people than the 8 possible alignment archetypes. If something is evil it doesn't mean that it is sadistic or otherwise...it also doesn't mean it is 'fiend' evil. A dread...

Of course good characters can fall from grace but you also shouldn't go out of your way to force it on players or characters who are actively trying to avoid such a fate either lol..( they don't have to get a familiar. A familiar is not a vital part of the game...magic has its problems. It makes pe...

It is part of the folklore revolving around magic. Everywhere in ravenloft books it says to be careful when messing with magic...I think it would be a well known fact that if you summon an animal to be your servant and be connected to you that there are going to be stories cautioning against doing i...

3.5 is definately for me I started in 2e...but I never really liked it much. I mean it worked, and until 3e it looked alright. I had so many house rules...thats kind of the fun of it I guess, fixing all the bugs yourself so that you have a game that works well. 3.5 has a few things that are just bet...
