Re: So..... Dracov's dead.

I've been reading Gaz IV, about Inza, but I can't work out what her curse is. Could be that it's 5:26am, but I don't know. Do you guys know? Based on her description in Dragon #351, it seems that her only curse is the knowledge that good people exist. Before becoming a Darklord, she was smugly sure...

Re: Pocket Darklord idea.

While Skitter-Skatter sounds like an interesting antagonist, based both on its backstory and its characteristics, it doesn't sound like a Darklord. The only misdeeds it was guilty of before being pulled into the Mists were the murders of Susan's parents, and there was a great deal of provocation. Th...

Re: If Ravenloft were a film, what would you expect of it?

Based on how well it worked with the Dragonlance movie, I think that animation might be a good option for a series of Ravenloft movies. It would be a easier to find an animator who can capture the look of the original illustrations than to try making up actors to look that way. A straight adaption o...

There is a previous attempt to do something similar on this thread:

in case that offers any inspiration to your attempts to reverse various domains.

Re: Hollow Pregnancy?

Maybe the baby is the incarnation of its mother that was switched into the fetus instead of forced into the outer planes.
I would like this idea a lot if the mother was suffering from a "normal" transposition, but if she has no soul, what is it that would be passed on to the child?

Rosemont Bay Kickstarter

Since there are occasional mentions of various kickstarter campaigns on this forum, has anyone looked into "Rosemont Bay-A Gothic Horror Soap Opera Roleplaying Game"(to be funded three days from now)? Would it be worth trying? When I first noticed this project, the creators hadn't revealed...

Re: half-fiends born in Ravenloft

Savage Species has a ritual which can give a creature a new alignment subtype. Half-fiends/celestials (or even other outsiders) could use this to gain reality wrinkles if they wanted to.

Re: Lycanthropy Cure

If natural lycanthropes are usually the result of a child´s soul being consumed by an animus before birth, what happens when a normal person becomes a ¨natural¨ lycanthrope due to a curse or failed powers checks? Is this possible? If not, what about someone born a natural lycanthrope because of a cu...

Re: Van Richten as a NPC

Credimori, from Children of the Night:Demons sounds like the monster you describe. Its description says that the only group it is prejudiced against itself are scholars, who it sees as a threat. Van Richten is probably at the top of the creature´s list of hated intellectuals. Credimori has the power...

Re: Misinformation, Mischief and Propaganda

The "Housewife's Run" was an infamous smuggling operation to bring a potent Elven narcotic, powdered night rose petal, from Sithicus to Darkon. ¨Night rose petals¨ are an elven narcotic? I´m not sure if that was your intention, but this makes me wonder whether the flowers the PCs in When ...

Re: New Organization: The Shadow Crooks (Feedback wanted)

Any suggestions on other ways they could feel about the Vistani, or perhaps other reasons they dislike/distrust them? They would probably be divided in how they feel about the Vistani based on their position in the imagined Strahd/Drakov conflict, since they appear to be allies of the first and ene...

Re: Transposition by Angel?

While I don´t have VRGtF, the 3rd Edition Ravenloft Campaign Setting contains a summary of the transposition process: Fiends appear capable of sensing the thoughts and fellings of mortals, even from another plane. They are particularly able to detect thoughts of evil and wickedness, and they are dra...

Re: New Organization: The Shadow Crooks (Feedback wanted)

This is an interesting idea, and a misinformed group of antagonists makes a nice balance to those which know more than the players. How do the Shadow Crooks expect to be rewarded for helping to guide the Shadow Generals toward their intended roles. Also, if they believe they are furthering the inter...

Re: New to the Forum? introduce yourself here!

Greetings. I've enjoyed reading the Fraternity's netbooks for around three years now, which is the source of nearly all my knowledge of Ravenloft. I finally decided to register in the hopes of contributing to these efforts, and possibly finding others nearby interested pen-and-paper 3rd edition play...
