I guess I'm cautiously optimistic? As others have mentioned, I'd be more in favor of a continuation of the timeline (as opposed to a rewrite). So far though, at least a few of the things hinted at have piqued my interest.

I don't post very often, but I do check the FoS boards frequently. I enjoy keeping tabs on the discussions in the Ravenloft Forum.

One thing I would certainly do is tone down the 'otherness' of the race. It has been an evolving position as the editions have gone marching on, but in my mind's eye, RL works best when it is human-centric. I'm fine with folks wanting to play other races ... but I like it much more if any non-phb ra...
