Ravenloft - Just a commoner with little or no martial or athletic ability, but prob with a fairly high INT. And lotsa skill points, spent mostly on Knowledge (history), Knowledge (RPGs), and Knowledge (mythology).

Masque - A tradesman with the same skills.

Glamis is in Ravenloft, sorta, I found out yesterday.

We have Forlorn, the Highland Scottish domain. And the predominant ethnic group is the Forfarians - in fact, the domain was known as Forfar in the past.

I learned yesterday that Forfar is also the village nearest Glamis Castle.

Why this thread hasn't been closed by the moderators is beyond me. This is devolving into into an ad nauseam flame-fest and little or nothing useful is coming out of it.

Pre-Conjunction Ravenloft

Which of Ravenloft's domains disppeared with the Conjunction? G'henna and Markovia were where the Shadow Rift is, I think, and then there's also Arak, Gundarak, and Dorvinia. The "Darklords" accessory says that Ghastria was apparently in southern Valachan - when did that move to an island?...

My two cents -

IMO, Yoda told Luke that a Jedi doesn't use the Force to attack in an effort to keep him from going down the same path as dear ol' dad. Kinda the same intent as Obi-Wan telling him that Vader murdered Anakin.

Don't forget the talking brain-in-a-tin-can from "The Whisperer in Darkness" by The Terrible Old Man, I mean H.P. Lovecraft.

OT: Kansas City only has one bookstore? Or do you mean gaming store? I just always thought KC was... larger.

That's the same two I would pick. Mirrodin especially, though.

Horror stuff by E.F. Benson, M.R. James, Arthur Machen, Algernon Blackwood, H.P. Lovecraft, J. Sheridan LeFanu, Bram Stoker and Arthur Conan Doyle, as well as The Ultimate Jack The Ripper Companion by Stewart Evans and a collection of Sherlock Holmes - is it any wonder I dig MotRD? Otherwise, Romanc...

I agree about the Lucas thing, but I understood Leia's memories of being of Senator Organa's wife, since she'd remember her as mother.

I agree, it was great. Although I think that the death of Mace Windu, the presence of Wookiees, and the Yoda vs. Palpatine fight were somewhat over-hyped.

Perhaps, with extensive modification of the Sanity Rules the maddness system could be salvaged from the burning wreakage. What's even more interesting... or not interesting, noteworthy I should say, is that the COC d20 Sanity rules are a direct rip of the Chaosium rules. Seriously. Nothing's change...

Just out of curiosity, where in Pennsylvania? That's where I am, too, in the bowels of Lancaster County (Columbia to be precise).

And Leighton Buzzard is the best name for an English town I've ever heard, followed by Market Rasen. ;)

Like Rhuvein, I've picked up Castles and Crusades as well. I haven't played it yet, but I've been doing a ton of monster conversions from 3e and 2e. I love the game, and am strongly considering ditching d20 permanently in favor of it.
