Reddit Adventure Jam #1 - Timor

Post by IanFordam »

Several weeks ago, the /r/Ravenloft subreddit hosted their first Adventure Jam. Participants were given one week to create an adventure set in a randomly-chosen domain.

Timor was the randomly-chosen domain. In particular, the person who organized the Adventure Jam (Wannahock88) specified that adventures should be set in pre-Zherisia Timor.

I submitted an entry, and I thought I'd share it:

Interesting story. I wish I knew more about Timor and the Hive Queen as well as the doppelgangers. It's probably not one I'd use but let's face it I'm not familiar enough with the domain to actually do anything with it.

Timor first appeared in the 2e supplement Islands of Terror. It languished in obscurity for years until it appeared in Domains of Dread as part of the Zherisia Cluster; the dopplegangers of Timor (Above) had been replaced by the dopplegangers of Paridon, although the Hive Queen still ruled Timor (Below). Eventually the Zherisia Gazetteer was published via the Fraternity of Shadows, and Timor got its second full-length write-up therein. Since then it has gone back to languishing in obscurity.

So, yeah, Timor is easy to miss!
