One at the top of the page is for WotC, not its forums.

Any help would be appreciated.
Yah, no WotC search engine... But the link works, or doesn't it? - I'll send the doc to you, if you like.

My opinion here is a little odd, as I would consider product quality and usability the same thing. Some NPCs might seem cool on page and all, but if you can't put them to good use then they are pointless.

Any and all of the Van Richten's books, particularily the Arsenal, the walking dead, and the guide to ghosts (some bias here because I'm doing a Mordent Campaign). Gazetteer III is vital to my campaign, with some side readings of the other Gaz's as well. The next in line would be Heros of Light for some of its classes.

On a side note, another really good reference is actually fan made/reccomended stuff. If I'm ever looking for inspirement or what not, I usually cruise through this site, often peaking over the journals or the Undead Sea Scrolls for ideas, and also the links provided.

There are also some products which I have never use, and in a few cases, shun. For one, however unorthodox it may be considered, I don't use the Core DnD DMG, and rarely ever use the RL DMG or the RL PHG. Haven't had any use for Champions of Darkness. Denizens of Darkness can occasionally be cool, but otherwise becomes tempting to just throw random monsters at my players. For the good of my campaign, I stay away from books made by only WOTC.

In my campaign, I've used most if not all of the 3e books, in various proportion of course, but the ones I drew more form are the Gaz.

The Gaz are without doubt the book that i used the most, i use them to create the campaign and constantly refer to them into the game.

I use the others book less, of course for the players the PHB and RLCS is use often. If I can put my hand on the VRA perhaps he will see a lot of use too.

All the gazetteers, especially Gaz3, and Van Richten's Guide to the Shadow Fey. I've used all of the gazetteers at least a little for either setting a session or campaign in a certain domain or as background for a player who wanted a character from that domain ("You're from Nova Vaasa? Great. Here's what that means . . .") Gaz3 was extra useful to me because it has so much info on the Church of Ezra, which was the main focal point of my last campaign.

VRGttSF is handy to me because I LOVE shadow fey. Absolutely love them. If they don't feature prominently in the main storyline of my campaign, you can darn well bet they'll show up in several filler sessions. And the guidelines in VRGttSF are completely indispensable for planning all that stuff.

Good books that I've never used? I'd say that's mostly limited to Legacies of Blood. It's a great supplement, but my campaigns don't tend to have much in the way of political maneuvering and none of my players have ever shown an interest in playing characters of noble descent. I did have one campaign where I could have used it (one of the PC's was a Drakov running from his heritage), but that was before I owned it. Alas. That said, since the Society of Enlightened Citizens features heavily in my current campaign, I might finally get some use out of the Mordenheim section.
