Hi everyone

Post by StuckInOrbit »

Hi everyone. My name is Scott. I'm new to the forum.

Way back in the day I played Ravenloft, when I had access to people interested in RPG's, when I was 13 years old (26 now) and before I moved to an island where no one is interested in much more than hunting, drinking and not working.

Anyway, I decided to join the forum after poking through some of the threads and poking through the Fraternity of Shadows website. I sort of lead a dark lifestyle in terms of attire, my own personal aura that radiates from me, and my ideas and thoughts. I was looking for some additions to my house and came across and old picture from the Realm of Terror boxed set (no, not the classic Strahd picture). It sort of brought back memories. Got me to pull some of the old books of the shelf (useless seeing that I have no one to role with).

Needless to say, my interest in Ravenloft is sparked once again. I'm anxiously awaiting a chance to play the NwN Ravenloft: Prisoners of the Mist module.

Although I cannot say that I will play a key roll on these forums, I can say that I will be lurking and reading. I especially enjoy reading peoples comments on how characters reach Ravenloft.

I spent months creating and DM'ing adeventures with my friends, all of which had nothing to do with Ravenloft. I was waiting for a massive messup of a PC to spark something evil. Instead of provoking it I waited until one of my friends pulled a stunt and at that point Ravenloft came into play. They knew nothing of Ravenloft, where-as I had been reading about it for months prior and had some ideas set aside for the first play in the new gothic world. All in all, their first encounter with Ravenloft most likely sucked beyond belief due to my lack of knowledge and preparation. However, it sparked a good many more quests involving Ravenloft.

And then it all ended.

Well anyway, hi everyone.

Welcome Scott.

Don't worry about staying in the shadows, someday it will get you too.

Hello S.I.O., and welcome! A Neverwinter Nights fan as well? You should talk with bluebomber4ever, he's the man when it comes to The Prisoners of the Mists persistant world. I've only dabbled there and killed a few mink. I'm still working through a lot of solo modules, right now I've almost completed all three chapters of "Blackguard".
I only wish I had retired sooner!

I'm not really a NwN fan per-se. I played on and off when it first came out. I'm more into Ultima... especially Ultima IV, V and VI. Ultima Online is quite interesting also.

The Prisoners of the Mist module looks great though, so i'm looking to try that out.

Hi Stuck,

You've also gotta beware that tricksy Desdichado. Word has it that he is actually the Numa Numa guy, only dressed up as a member of U2

Oh, I meant that Numa Numa guy. Desdichado simply keeps facades for his own facades.

Either way, welcome to the Shadows Stuck. Try not to eat anything too old from Darkon. Nor would I reccomend any Borcan food...in general.

Hahha great video! Thanks for the links...

Seeing that Wiccy of the Fraternity posted some pics, here's me. However, i'm not the Numa Numa guy, at all, in any form of disguise.

Hi Stuck in Orbit,
It is good to see that new people still wander in to this mansion. I have been away for a bit (getting married, moving, succesful campaign that sadly died off).

But now I am back and there are so many new names on the board that it warms my heart. do indeed be careful of Rafael, googling has opened up a whole new can of undead crawling things.

Anyway, welcome!

Jennifer
