Are they subject to these restrictions too, or does that limitation only apply to spells? In other words, if a gnome uses an innate racial cantrip and it's spotted by an observer, would Misroi lose interest if investigation proves that the gnome isn't actually a spellcaster, but an otherwise-mundane fighter taking advantage of a petty racial perk?
Usually, these spells are divination or self protection, so they should pass as OK. For other spells with visible effects, I guess this would be in the grey zone, i.e. Souragniens will probably give the gnome "advice" to avoid this magic, or threaten him to speak of it to Anton.

If Anton heard of it, he would probably ignore this petty caster, as you suggest, or eventually send a warning.

I guess Mortepierre is right and this should be in the WE :)

Wow, cool gazatteer! Can you redo the domains of the first five gazs as well? When they were published I was disappointed by the info on the domains being too short. I had expected something more like which is in Feast of Goblyns (with the details on the cities). Well, this one satifies my needs by 100%! Good job!!

Hi!

Been computerless for a few days, been busy with the kids, and been sleeping (I am working nights for a few days... Grrr...)

(If I seem to lose my train of thought during this post, it's because I am... Working nights does this to me.)

I have finally printed the Survey. I had started reading it on line, but I like my paper copies... I am old-fashioned this way. And it is worth printing. But I am getting ahead of myself here...

I am reading it by jumping back and forth between the different sections...

So far, what I have seen and remember (I am reading this during the night)...

First of all, typos. They are there and everybody has mentioned them. Maybe just a bit more proof-reading for the next survey. I know I sort of go blind whenever I proof-read my own stuff so I will not hold it against anybody. If I had paid 20 bucks or so for this it would really annoy me, but this is a labor of love! And you can tell!

I have already offered Joël some help with this for next time!

Lots of Adventure Hooks! Yay!

I really like the idea of having cousins of the Tarascons taking over the Marais. I can really work with this in my campaign!

I haven't finished the geographical part yet, but what I have read is very good!

The Sociological Part, I have only read the Liberté sidebar. Who is responsible for this?????
I LOVE IT!!!!!!
I am not sure how I will implement this in my campaign, but I have to use this. Is has a poetic quality to it...

Halfway or so into the Ezra section. Nice expansion of the cult. Well integrated into the domain and history of the Cult of Ezra.

I am not sure how much I like the Misroi Epilogue. I will re-read it. I think it feels forced in the sense that we are still very close to the Gaz meta-plot. It's not bad. It just feels a lot like the S story (Surveys, scholar, Darklord...). Like I said, maybe I am just standing too close the thing right now...

I have read most of the Misroi LoB entry. Nice. I just think we need one or two more Family Feats and MAYBE another Family Trait...

That's all I have for now!

Bravo!!!!

Thanks for the kind words, Patrick, I'm glad you liked the idea. Let me know what you end up doing with it -- in all honesty, I haven't made use of it in my campaign yet, either! I'm grateful to the Fraternity for including the Liberte sidebar in the gaz.

Cheers,

Short PCs presentation, standardized
Native PC sidebar - I will harass Steve first
More on the magic ban, as discussed here

... and another idea to make the place alive for DMs :)
