2nd Ed Ravenloft PDFs At Paizo.Com

Post by Lord Cyclohexane »

So, am I the only one who didn't notice that you can download 2nd Ed Ravenloft PDFs from Paizo.com? I just ran across that randomly last night, which is nice as I have a few books that I still need to obtain (and don't care about physical vs electronic copies).

At $4 per book, I'm definitely going to pick up the few 2nd Ed books I'm still missing. They've got all of the 62 2nd Ed books (total $248), so I might start pulling down what I'm missing and maybe even get electronic copies of the physical books I already own.

Anyone else interested, the website is:

No thanks, wolfgang_fener. I'd prefer to get it from Paizo, which'll report it back to WotC and show them that there's still a great interest in Ravenloft. If the new Expedition to Castle Ravenloft does well and the 2nd Ed PDFs are still selling, perhaps WotC will be a little more interested in bringing Ravenloft back.

Besides, I don't mind paying money for something good, and Ravenloft is even better than good. I just didn't know Paizo, or anyone at all even, was doing this before now. I'd have been on this earlier if I had known.

Out of curiosity,

Has anyone noticed that rpgdrivethru.com is still selling 3E RL?

I assumed that with the rights going back to Wizards in June, White Wolf wouldn't be able to sell those products anymore.

Just curious...

(And if people are missing some books get them now I guess!)

Yeah, I'd noticed, but I didn't see it as being weird. Are White Wolf and DriveThruRPG.com linked? I thought they just had a business relationship, but never looked into it or anything.

But yuck, DriveThruRPG hasn't changed their prices any. WW had a sale on its older stuff, so I picked up GazI-IV for $7 each; DriveThru was charging $12 at the time, and still is. I figured they'd take their prices down after noticing WW's prices... Guess not.

Of course, since I have all of the 3rd Ed books in print format, I'm happy to wait until the prices do dip down a bit. Especially since my money will be going to finish my 2nd Ed collection.

I've also found 2nd ed Ravenloft stuff at rpgnow.com, for about $5 each. While that's more, I know that they have every 2nd ed product other than Bleak House and Light in the Belfry. I can't remember the extent of Paizo's stock.
