As to the speculation about the hair, it is odd the attention given to it. Benn had been ready to pin all of this on a cult of Incabulos operating behind the scenes in the city, but this ritualistic maiming throws a wrench in that, as the character's knowledge of religion would indicate that this isn't their style at all. My history check was not terribly helpful, as I got a list of well known serial killers in the core. And let's all hope Blood Jack isn't here, because frankly I'm paranoid enough without dopplegangers showing up.

I should point out that it was me hwo added the time descrepancy of Cirdan being away for six months. The reason for this is that I had overread/misread/forgotten that Evan had given me a concrete time frame.

Then again, it might be useful, because Cirdan had been supposed to return to Darkon and to participate in some sort of military campaign/family feud.

Six months seem to a more suitable timelinefor something like this...

The mists can do strange things to one's perception of time. Yeah, we'll go with that one. If Ravenloft authors can use it to patch their screw ups, so can we.
