The mysterious supplement is Geoff Dale's "Inferno".The Giamarga wrote:So Rafael, is the mystery supplement released yet? What is it?Rafael wrote: No, just the contrary. Just was allowed to sneak into a great RPG-author's manuscript, and that will surely kill my weekend freetime. So, no FoS contest for me this year.
The project I am allowed to have a look at has absolutely nothing to do with Ravenloft. I cannot disclose anything further than it is supposed to be d20 and that it might see publication some time next year. And that there has passed some time since I read a RPG supplement I liked so much.
Geoff is working on a d20 version of the module, looking to release it this year or the next.
It's a massive 300+ pages book, describing a hell-like plane based on Dante's "Divine Comedy".
Haven't played it yet, but reading was very funny, and the setting felt much more intriguing and picturesque than the usual Planescape stuff.
I have no idea when Inferno d20 will be out or what the final book will be like, but it felt much like Planescape for grown-ups to me.
Let's put it like this: If I had to run a plane-traveler adventure, I'd choose this one before City of Brass, Return to the Tomb of Horrors and most Planescape stuff. It's maybe not punky enough for Ravenloft, but does for cool phantasmagorical and horror adventures as well.
