Poor Girot, he just doesn't get any respect.

He's the morally ambigious wizard figure. If he doesn't get his stones broken on a regular basis, his head'll swell and he'll get all Rastilin on everyone's ass, and, really, who has time for that much drama?
Also, MariexFred OTP.

Ol' Gravois didn't put broken glass at the top of the wall? Tsk. How serious can he really be about keeping people out?

But, but... then he'd actually have to pay to
feed the dogs.

Dear readers,
Due to some fluke everything remotely interesting seems to avoid happening on Friday, where it would keep you interested over the weekend. Instead, I will merely have to assure you that (as you might have gathered from the last panel) something much more interesting will happen on Monday, and that any resemblance to your own campaigns where everyone sits around talking all night and not actually doing anything is completely coincidental.

So then.... something seriously odd is going on here.
Something that resembles dark red-purple vines or cracks appears on the tree. It makes a crackling noise, and the dogs are smart enough to hit the road. It is starting at the bottom but is growing very fast.
I think those are vines as opposed to cracks since I think I can spot part of it going up above the tree in the lower-left corner of the page. That said, I may be wrong.
Theories: This is some kind of vine plant. It is either hostile or friendly.
If Hostile: Ghost? Evil Druid? I presume it will begin to tear Santine into small pieces.
If Friendly: Scares off the dogs and lets Santine down? Is Fred a druid, by any happenstance? I think he looks surprised, but I may be wrong.
--------------
Also, any guesses what Marie is reaching for? Could be her gun, but I'm thinking its more likely some kind of industrial strength plant killer (this is Souragne, recall).

If Fred's a druid, shouldn't he know better than to walk around in heavy wool at mid-day in Souragne?
Maybe Santine's sitting atop an evil treant, and it just woke up!

If I had to guess, I'd say Fred's a rogue, maybe a monk.(The Church of Ezra could train monastic warriors or something.) The way he moves indicates enhanced mobility, but he's too prone to passing out to be a ranger or fighter.
Plus the party already has a priest and a wizard, but perhaps I am bound too tightly to the classic structure.

Okay, first off, the top half of the most recent panel is really, really cool-looking. I'm particularly enthralled with Desmarais and the smooth way he transfers from benign, elderly mentor figure to Hunter.
Also, while on the subject of characters, I'm thinking that Desmarais is possibly not a pure cleric but some kind of cleric/ranger, possibly a Consecrated Harrier. He seems to martial and un-armored to be a regular combat cleric.
Marie is a Pistoleer, that much is obvious, but my instinct is that she's a Rouge/Pistoleer.
Fred... not really sure anymore. Mobility-enhancement seems likely, but its not enough to pin a class on him. And it needn't be fighter-type, since Desmarais seems likely to cover any angles like that.
Lastly, what is Fred seeing in the shed? Does our Unknown Person who Looks like an EoA NPC happen to have Ethereal Empathy or Ghostsight? Former, methinks.

Montage! Half-page montage!
Yeah, can I say how much I love kickawesome getting-ready-for-battle sequences?

He falls off horses when they're standing still, yet can outrun them and bounce around like a pogo stick if he's on foot? Never mind monk levels or Dexterity bonuses; I'm starting to wonder if Fred's got himself a set of boots of striding and springing.

We thank you for your patience during that exciting action type sequence. We now return you to your regular, boring, comic. </facetious>

Oh my.
Wasn't the door to the shed was closed when it was shown through violet eyes

Just wanted to say: Really, really, REALLY great work on the girl's face. You can see a frillion emotions going through the poor thing's head at the same time just with the width of the eyes and size of her pupils.
Your perspective on the big jump seemed a little flat, but the "VOOOSH!" made up for it, so nice work!
