There are some very confused people in this world.
Now don't get me wrong, I've dressed up for conventions in the past. It's like a second halloween, only no candy and three days long. It can be a lot of fun, until (to quote foamy the squirrel) "I'm standing in line and in front of me, someone smells. And behind of me, someone smells".
Just to clarify, not everyone who goes to an anime convention is that...lost in sexual translation. In fact, I'd argue that the 300lb man dressed in a sailor moon costume is a fairly anecdotal case.
