Firstly, I want to say that this topic has really impressed me with Lilliend; an expert reference to Carmilla, the infamous progenitor of the "Lesbian Vampires" subgenre, but one that avoids the cheap route of lesploitation that so many of the others fall into. Camille is also a perfect darklord; some tragedy to her, in that all she really wanted was love, but very much overweighed by the sickness in her soul, from her incestuous infatuation to the brutal murdering of her male in-laws and descendants, until she exterminated her entire family line.

That said, I wanted to know: is Camille killable, or is she one of those pesky "utterly indestructible" Darklords? Really hope that's not the case.

Also, who is the "author" of these scribings? It feels like these are part of an established, ongoing story, but I've been away for ages, so I don't know where this ties into.

(Camille favours adding her potions to otherwise innocent drinks, which are to be consumed by serious enemies. The potions of Touch of the doppelganger, however, she reserves for when she needs to change her appearance. The victim whose appearance she steals usually becomes her next meal, unless she needs them to distract pursuit.)

Darklord's Curse:

Camille is forever seeking a perfect lover, a replacement for her long-lost twin sister in appearance and manner -- but her memory of Amaranth is flawed, grows ever more distorted with the passage of time, and she can not refresh it. She used to have pictures of her twin sister, but these rotted long ago. Even learning the spell Mimic mortal, which allows her to see herself in the mirror, is useless due to her tendency to change identities using Touch of the doppelganger. More than half-mad, Camille is forever seeking a perfect reflection of herself -- a self which she keeps changing to hide from potential enemies and in order to fit in at the schools where she seeks her next 'one true love'.

As far as being killable goes, I put up Camille's basic statistics above this post. As you can see, she is not impossible to kill and she does not have the Undying soul quality that makes so many Darklords and Darkladies nigh-on impossible to kill unless you first completely annihilate their lair or kill off every single animal of a certain type in their realm.
The problem is, Camille has no problem with running for the hills if she feels she's in actual danger. She'll target groups with Circle of death and Slow spells, blast particularly strong individuals with Blindness/Deafness and Enervation, then go into gaseous form and seep into the earth, using Nondetection to hide from scrying and leaving Symbols of pain in her wake to slow down pursuit. At the first opportunity, she'll change her appearance by swapping with some poor unfortunate -- and if it is at all within her power, the people who came close to killing her will not see her again unless and until she can arrange for them to be made completely helpless.
So yes, technically killable. But not willing to put herself at serious risk. First, you need to find her. Then you need to somehow pin her down for a drag-out, knock-down fight. Finally, you need to survive; she can do quite a bit of damage once she gets going.

The character chronicling these domains is a creation of my own, my mouthpiece for the domains of the Wartorn Cluster, an ongoing project. Lilliend was the first domain; Vieuxlyons is second; Masogan is third. More will be coming along as I tweak them and find time to write them out.

Love what i have read so far, to the point where you have actually got me to start reading the Wheel of time series that i had been meaning to get round to. Have you done any further work on the project, i would love to read about the darklords of Vieuxlyons and Masogan, not to mention the domains of the Broken Wheel and the Fell lands.
