Fear check for Zumba, DC 17:

1d20 + 7 = 11
http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2882542/
Souragnien: "What say you, boy? Want to help me sweep the roof?" he asks of Zumba, his wrinkled old face impossibly calm. With a flick of the wrist, a silver longsword lies in the old man's hand.
Jedi sword anyone?
Well, let's see how this fear check is handled and then Zumba will try to help the old priest.

As a result of failing the Fear check, Zumba is shaken.

But not yet stirred. ;) You can still act, albeit with the usual penalties for being shaken.

I'm deeply sorry, but I had a weird day today, and I have a pressing appointment tomorrow and won't be able to update. >_<; I'll try to do it wednesday as soon as I can.

It's cool, man. These things happen in the real world. Take care of what you need to do, and we'll look forward to the next post!

Hey Rock, just to be sure. The white man got no damage from the bullet?

Yes, he did. Couple of small edits to the DM-section...

Lucien clearly thinks the hooded man looks like the kindly old lady who delivered milk:

Horror check (1d20+6=26) 8)

Rock, just to be clear, did the ascent to the roof pretty much take up Goren's and Lucien's actions for the coming round? That's fine if so -- I'm simply looking for clarification. The shield bonus from Force Screen is still in effect, regardless. Thanks!

Hey Rock, if that is knowable, when does the shaken effect on Zumba end ?

Ken: you are free to perform standard actions this round, but your move is used up.

Ail: the shaken effect ends after the battle is done.

Rock, could you give me a description of the area and distances. I might need my surroundings, but I have no idea what there is exactly except the church and a molten carriage :)

Well, you are currently on the Temple's driveway. There's a nasty pothole where the coach was, from which you can see your trunk and the stone you guys dug up jutting up.

Behind you is the road, which eventually leads back to Port d'Elhour. It curves around a group of small dwellings to the right and to the left. Marais de Tarascon's downtown is to the left. There are plenty of trees and bushes between the buildings, brownish now with the drought.

You can either risk running around the zombies and be inside the Temple and up the stairs after the others if you make a full-move action, or you can take off down the road. Full move will keep you ahead of the zombies, and you could try to barricade yourself somewhere, find help, or set a trap. It'd have to be a quick trap, though; if they follow you, they'll be running, too.
