Saint George who fights the dragon of Lydda in the Near-East
But what did that halfling do to him?
She was polymorphed to a dragon by an evil mage who then casted on her a terrible curse that lowered her mental scores enough and also binded her to his will. She was ordered to eat virgins and kill people, burning their farms and the fields. For the curse to be broken, she had to be slain by a pure heart.
In her final moments, as the curse was seeping away from her along with her life-blood, she thanked the Saint for freeing her from the clutches of this horrible sorcerer.
With her final breath as the dragon body was transformed back to the lovely halfling we all know so well, she cursed the Sorcerer to practice his magic from the same shell as she but to never be able to change back to human and forever hunger for the pleasures of life of the mortal halfling.
As the St. George raised his sword to put an end to this foul sorcerer's career and prayed to God to help him resist the spells, he saw mists gathering at the distance. Supernaturally thick mists moving
against the wind. At his amazement and horror the mists covered completely a distant, partially ruined tower and then subsided leaving only the hillside behind. There was no trace of the old tower.
As for the sorcerer, he was transported to Ravenloft transformed to an old shadow dragon with increased spellcasting abilities as a boon from the Dark Powers but unable to change his shape back to human. He dwells in a huge cavern complex under the mount Ghakis unable to sustain himself with anything other than the vermin of his cavern and rotten flesh of disfigured, ugly humanoinds (Callibans, Broken ones or humans sufficiently burned and disfigured).
