They're too afraid to admit it.

Given the other scores I'm seeing, that may be wise...how long can it be before I'm labeled an "enemy of the people"?...

Frankly, I think the quiz would've been more accurate with a "neutral" option, as I could both agree and disagree with some statements, depending on context.

Nope, just took longer to get around to taking the test
Economic Left/Right: 2.13
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 0.31
Somewhere in the neighborhood of Gerhard Schroeder apparently.
I agree, it's a somewhat flawed test. So many questions begged for a "don't care" or an "agree, BUT..."

Indeed, they were mostly loaded questions.
Such as "Do you believe the rich should be taxed".
Who would say no to this? Very few people, even amongst the "classical liberals" would openly suggest that the rich should not pay tax - in fact, I doubt many would suggest that the rich should not pay more tax than others (even though this is exactly what occurs).

I just tried the test in the persona of Azalin, as I imagine it, and got -0.1/4.69, which seems reasonable--highly authoritarian, protectionist capitalism.
Some of the questions--especially on child-rearing and the integration of immigrants--are highly amusing from this viewpoint.

It is a good thing for anyone on the plus side that we are amongst the likes of the Dalai Lama and Ghandi.

Well, it's IC as the Fiendish Enforcer, see. But there's nothing particularly anti-libertarian about "a few simple laws strictly enforced," which is the bare bones of my position on law enforcement.
I wasn't criticizing your opinions

Read the FAQ as of why they didn't use that.

Why do I always come out as a Democrat on these things? Am I just that much in denial?

Yeah, my personal favorite was "In a civilised society, one must always have people above to be obeyed and people below to be commanded." I think that any society bigger than about a hundred people needs to have some kind of hierarchy or it'll fall apart, but
man, that's an Azalin-tastic way or phrasing it!

I believe that I answered "I agree" on that. "Strongly agree" seems a bit too harsh.

This is humorous, because I am a staunch Republian, and two time Bush voter. Yet, I feel it was fairly accurate. I am very conerned about many of the same issues as many liberals I know-only my proposed solutions are often very different.
Back home in Portland, I am considered Right wing-in the Army, people call me a hippie. So I must just be normal!

Your scores show that you are centro-libertarian. Not dead center, but still center.
