So I was wondering how to Add a page….. I decided on my free time here at work I’d help you with a few more seeds. It’s going to take a long time but appreciate your work thus far. Not always sure on some of them, but one click lead to another and I came across Ireena… apparently there are two. So out of curiosity I checked her out since I know her and she’s an NPC still in my game.

It doesn’t have a mention of her brother from the I-6 module…. I’m pretty sure I’m not imagining anything unless I read the module wrong but her brother takes over for Kolyan Indrirovich. I’m not sure why her last name is Kolyana and Indrirovich is the father’s last name…. o.O’

Anyways I was wondering if there was a way to add a page for Ismack, because I searched the wiki and found nothing on him…. <.< is that ok? He’s more of an important character because we started with the module before getting into it so it was easy to use known NPC’s.

To add a page, you simply go to the address of the page as though it existed. For example, Ireena's page is:
http://fraternityofshadows.com/wiki/Ireena_Kolyana
if she had a brother named Bob who needed a page added, you'd go here:
http://fraternityofshadows.com/wiki/Bob_Kolyana
(go ahead, you can click it.)
You'll note that that page is blank, but the software automatically creates it for you. If you're logged in, you'll see a "create" tab. Clicking on that tab or the "edit this page" link will let you edit Bob Kolyana (don't save it, though, this is just an example. There is no Bob Kolyana.)

Alternatively, an easy way to add a page is to link to it as though it already existed. Like by putting on Ireena's page something like, "Her brother is [[Bob Kolyana]]." That will automatically make a link to the Bob Kolyana page, and color it red. You've surely seen red links on the wiki here and there. That indicates a link to a page that doesn't exist yet. If you click on it, it will take you to the same blank page where you can click "create" or "edit this page" to fill it in.

It's a pseduo-Slavic thing. (see here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eastern_Sl ... Patronymic) Kolyana means "daughter of Kolyan." Indirovich means "son of Indir" or some name similar to Indir.

Well the reason you didn't find him is that you spelled his name wrong.

(of course, if you follow that Slavic custom, it would be Ismark Kolyanovich, but since when has Ravenloft been consistent with borrowed languange and customs?)

Important or not, he should be there. Mistipedia is meant to have every character, not just the important ones. We've got everyone from Darklords, heroes, and nobles down to barmaids, servants, pets, murder victims, etc. If it's mentioned in a Ravenloft product, it goes in.

Damn, I was 100% sure it was Ismack. That's how i've been using him for the past 10 sessions that we've played or so.... damn. I'll have to check back again in that module. Maybe i saw a typo in the module? Nope not even google comes up with the illustrious Ismack. xD Going to have to correct myself then... or maybe i should just leave it because my players know him at Ismack now.

Been there, done that. I've got a ton of things that are different than canon in my campaign, some are by design, but many are by accident. But once discovered, I just go with what I'd established instead. (pssst... no one will ever know!)

Considering, I devour Ravenloft Material and know probably too much more than my gamers so when I put something in game i'm not always sure if they'll know of it. 1 of my players knows more than the others because he's tried to run a few for another group of his.... outside of the main lore however, he doesn't know too much. (Main lore meaning big NPC's like Van Richten, Zarovich, and Azalin)

Sometimes it's hard not to delve information to players that their character's wouldn't know. Probably better they don't read alot of the material so it surprises them and they can 'find out themselves....' xD

We just broke the 1200 barrier! 1198 to go.....

A productive three weeks. Down below 1100. 1099 to go! Could we be done in about 9 more months at this rate?

Another hundred in 2.5 weeks. We are now below the 1000 mark! 999 bottles of this particular beer on the wall.

The pace continues... 19 days to knock down another 100. We're at 898 now.. At this rate, we'll be done on October 18th. Can we beat that?

Accelerating a little: 15 days for another 100. Now at 799. Thanks for the help, guys!

oof, a bit of a slow-down. 30 days to get another 100. Down to 696, though... the end is in sight.

Did not notice until now: Thanks to Nathan, we're now under 600. 598, as of August 1st, so that 100 took 41 days. Another bit of a slowdown, but still steady progress....

we'll get there eventually.

And with a big push from your truly today, we're under 500! (at 499.) the last 100 took 56 days so we're definitely slowing down. Pretty sure we won't be done by next month as predicted. But can we do it in less than the 9 months that the current rate predicts? ONWARD!!!!!
