I like this rewrite and the map is great.
My only complain is how Maligno is now a minor character. I would like to see him more prominent in the domain. Saving children from the pleasure island and creating communities of orphans under his dominion. It would be as abusive as the coachman. The two can be darklords fighting for the control of the domain without even realizing it.

I could make Maligno a well intentioned extremist; a sort of brattish version of Magneto, after all, he is twice discriminated once as a puppet and once as a kid; he is the evil alrernative to the Coachman, after all;

I admit , that is an interesting idea. That said Mistmaster did manage to salvage a near useless domain. Useful for a one shot adventure, not a campaign.
