Tarlyn, I think you can leave off playing Samuel for now, and concentrate on your new PC. I allowed you to take over Samuel, an NPC, in order to give you something to do while you were waiting for your new PC to show up. As it turns out, he was also the method of introduction for your PC.
You did a really good job playing him. If there are scenes on the boat in which Samuel might be important, you can handle him for those. I'll PM you in such a case.

Delight is to him- a far, far upward, and inward delight- who against the proud gods and commodores of this earth, ever stands forth his own inexorable self.

You used the definite article, so I presume you meant 'the' tavern, as in the same one the other PC have chosen. This works.

Spanking the dwarf...Rafael wrote:Spanked dwarf will be spanked.
BTW, anyone knowing a D&D novel where the dwarf doesn't come off as a total jerk? - I am trying to redefine my character...

Maybe some of the Dragonlance novels?

Also, I am exactly trying to evade the DL/frako stereotypes. Be thankful I didn't play a gnome.
Ye gawds!

And the others as well! Hell, we've been playing a long time together now, haven't we?
Yes, try in one of the Drizzt novels, not Bruenor but Storm Silverhand's dwarf friend. I forget his nameRafael wrote:Spanked dwarf will be spanked.
