Well, we could cut and paste the part where John Strange sticks his head out the window. Put it after I post the new scene for you and SGT Baldie-locks.

You could leave the comment to Guppio in place.

Tralyn-

I've edited and expanded my most recent IC post. It may contain useful details/clues.

I was taking 20 searching the room/bodies as well, if that wasn't already taken into account. I assume it was.
"Of course," Benn mutters, "It would be a damned shame if we ever knew what the hell was actually going on."

Yes, you are searching the room in the cellar- not the room on the first floor with a window open.

Some time has passed.

No need to roleplay going to the kitchen. I will presume that Benn was asked in person- he wasn't in the first floor room with John and the seregant when the had the brief conversation about getting chow.

From now on, we might need to be more scrupulous about using headers for our posts, so that all players are aware of which scene is being described. Just a thought. Ya'll let me know.I hope that the map I provided helps clear up confusion.

So, net results:

About twenty minutes have passed.
Guppio is gone.
The sergeant has gone back upstairs.
Benn and John are downstairs with their food...and two dead bodies.

I'm going forward with the assumption that Dorgio and Alain have left with Guppio, as that seems to have been the party's plan. Brock, LS- if your PCs are not with the LT, please let me know. I've left his scene flexible.

Dofur and Karim are still outside. Van, Raf- post whenever you like. I'm not ignoring your PCs- they just aren't doing anything.

Note on clocks and watches:

Alain had never seen a pocketwatch before coming to the Land of the Mists. So far as he knows, such devices don't exist on his homeworld- at least not in the lands he had travelled. Sundials, candles, and hourglasses were by far the most common sorts of time keeping devices. Big waterclocks could be found in some towns, but not all over the place. Some clever wizards had created magical ways of telling time, of course.

If your PC is from a medieval or lower CL domain, and hasn't extensively travelled in high CL lands- it's possible that he may be only somewhat familiar with such fine clockwork devices.

What about the old classic way of telling the time from sun?!
- The first 2 Feats a wizard should take are "point blank shot" and "Precise shot"!
- W H A T ! ? !
