Doesn't seem dumb to me. No, you are definitely doing a good job playing the bold knight! I like him.
Actually, I like all the RP we've had from everyone.
In an unrelated note, I'm attempting to ressurect my semi-weekly Classic D&D campaign. You know, Keep on the Borderlands. I've just retconned the whole shebang into World of Greyhawk.

Yeah, my posting might be a little spotty this week. I'm traveling to a tumor virus conference in Wisconsin this week, filled with 8am to 11pm seminars of excitement. I'll be on when I can, but if combat breaks out and i'm slowing things up, ewan can just run me. It's not like Benn contributes a whole lot outside of patching Cirdan up anyway.

Ewan: No problem about the time line. I've never done pbp before, so I was wondering whether I was going too fast.
Adam: Oh man I feel you, I just got back from a literacy conference that was pretty much like that. Have fun! Are you presenting anything? Also, I think the idea of an Archivist in Ravenloft. In a lot of ways, I think the "thinking" characters are at a distinct advantage.

ewan, Norzak will do a Listen and Spot check once he gets back down to the sewers. You can do the rolls for me. The listen is for in front of me as well as behind me. The spot is to spot me pals. And I am looking from ceiling to floor carefully.

If Norzak and Dorgio go down the tunnel to look for Benn and Cirdan, they'll come to the same T intersection described here:
At the far end of the tunnel, you find a T-intersection. The left and right branches are both filled with water to about three feet in depth, and otherwise much like the tunnels you've already traversed. Both stretch off into the darkness. Even Sir Cirdan, with his superior vision, cannot see the ends clearly. Directly overhead, right in the middle of the intersection's ceiling, is a bronze hatch,. It looks very old, and is mostly covered in verdigris. There are some bright spots along the rim and on the wheel-like handle, suggestive of recent use.
There's no sign of your prisoner, except for some spots of crimson gore. The rope lies limp in the water, its end severed- a ragged cut.
Of course, they'll also see the white note paper with the two black arrows on it, pasted to the wall with some sticky offal.
Of course, they may want to do something else entirely. I just posting to avoid any confusion. Questions?

I rolled for you. Not bad is all I'll say. I've included some details in the post. If Norzak advances to the intersection at the far end of the tunnel [where the beastie took the prisoner-guide] he'll spot the paper with the arrows, for sure.

Yeah, I'm giving a talk in the morning, actually. To a bunch of people who review my papers for publication, and will some day determine whether or not I get funding, no less. But no pressure
