Wedding.

Okay, everybody-

All active player-characters may advance one level. Several of you ought to now be at level 5. Congrats, you've earned it. Advancement will not take effect for a given PC until I have recieved an updated character sheet from the player of that PC.

The next chapter will be the finale of this campaign arc.

Coming soon...
  • The long, bloody chase ends in the streets of Pont-a-Museau.

John Strange may learn the secret of his mysterious past, if he asks the right questions.

Friends and loved ones are in dire peril- but can the heroes act in time to save them?
The Eye of Incabulos watches all, and the Black King laughs from atop his throne of nightmares!
Delight is to him- a far, far upward, and inward delight- who against the proud gods and commodores of this earth, ever stands forth his own inexorable self.

I've added a short flashback summary for you, Tarlyn.

Yes, I assumed that John would further question the gnome during the boat ride- but it doesn't turn up much of anything. He seems to have told you what he knows.

Game-present is in Pont-a-Museau, at the end of the boat trip, the morning of Nov 11th. Please start from there.

Note- if you took the vial to one of the party spellcasters or to the Captain during the boatride, let me know. We can handle that OOC, so as not to confuse or delay the action of this chapter.

Rest of you guys- if there was anything important you wanted to do during the trip, let me know OOC or by PM. Otherwise, assume that all PCs are rested, prepped, and ready for action on the morning of the 11th, having arrived in port.

RocEtr- I haven't forgotten about you. You'll get a scene soon, trust me.

As per his promise, John will ask Dorgio first. Then if no idea, Benn. last is the Captain. John has the impression
it might be some type of chemical doodad, maybe even poison.

BTW, in case anyone cares-

Galandel actually embarked on his river trip from a point further north and sooner than the rest of the party. His raft is a slower means of conveyance than a dragonboat, of course.

As Adam has asked for Benn to be played as an NPC until Adam gets back online-

Benn will follow the others, for now.

The residue turns out to be faintly magical, but not easily identified by anyone aboard the Marot's Pride. Perhaps an alchemist or magician in the city can help? Now, in the game-present, you may be able to find such expert help.

Let's handle any additional 'on the trip' stuff OOC. I don't want a wonky continuity on the thread.

What is the PCs doing NOW? :?:

How much game time has passed between when the PCs went through the portal and now?

A couple of months. That was in August, and now it's November 11th. You may have 'lost' a few weeks in the Mists.
