Well, that's one way to get a henchman!
Hey, maybe you'll have twins?

Heh. I liked having the feat back in the day, but I always thought it was annoying that you needed it to have a real henchman.

"Tell them I will be minute."

Giving no thought to propriety, he returns to kissing Charlotte and pointedly ignores the Falkovnian.

''Ja wohl, Herr Gehrman!"

Klaus retreats into the hall, quietly closing the door behind him.

Charlotte's condition doesn't seem to have affected her appetite for physical affection...
I think time for one of those scene changes where we leave the rest up to the imagination.

I run it differently. Leadership automatically gives you a special 'cohort.' If he dies, you automatically get a chance (DM decides when and how) to replace him.

Any PC can attempt to hire or otherwise recruit henchmen, though. Likewise, higher level PCs may attract followers, based on in game actions/RP.

Yep.

We'll pick up a little later.

I do hope you are enjoying this, the last chapter of the current story arc.

Noted.

All of you: Would the party have had some notion of when and where to regroup? Sancerre's house the next morning? The core group's old office? You had a whole boat trip to decide such things, so I'll let you sort it out now, OOC.

Raf, are you able to post with any frequency now, or are you still very busy?

If you are busy, we can assume that Dofur witnesses some evil deed and goes to intervene in the situation, and is thus drawn out of the main story for a time.

If you can play what would you say about this: We assume that Dofur tools about town for a bit and then heads to the rendezvous point, we can pop him right back into play.

Van:
My assumption will be that Karim is on his own. Perhaps he's looking for work. Maybe he's been hired as the night-watchman for a warehouse on the riverfront. That sort of job would be temporary, and could account for his not being with the party over the next several game-days. If you get back before the big stuff goes down...
We can drop Karim right back into action, saying that his job is finished.

Thoughts, Van?

It's an interesting turn for the character, to be sure. Of course there's always the fear that goes along with this where you say "well, I guess I know which damsel we'll be rescuing from Van Deick soon."

Or not rescuing...

I figured we'd meet at Sancerre's house the next morning, but the office could work just as well.
