Bring pliers to the dentists. Then when he/she sticks anything uncomfortable in your mouth, you can whip out the pliers and attach them to something painful on his/her body and say "We aren't going to hurt each other, are we Doctor?"

If Benn is coming back down to the interesection with his light out, and Dorgio is walking up with his light out, they'll both quickly spot and recognize one another. You guys don't have to wait for me to post that, you can just include it in your posts.

Hope the pace suits everyone. I am not forcing to many forward jumps, because I want to give ya'll time to explore.

If anyone needs a better description of something, feel free to ask.

ATM,I am preparing for my tabletop game. The campaign was on hold for a while, but now we are playing again.

One of the nice things about Archivist is they're allowed medium armor proficiency, which is good because they have a lot of Multiple Ability Dependency to overcome with their spells being based off both Int and Wis. So I have a breastplate that I wear when I know combat is coming. I rushed up to get it right before the girl was kidnapped. So I'm not completely defenseless, just, you know, mostly defenseless.

Cool to hear about your tabletop game. Care to share what it's about?

Tabletop game is an attempt [so far quite successful] to do a classic d&d game, with dungeon, wildreness, and urban adventures.

I'm using the D&D Rules Cyclopedia [from 1991] as the rules set- it collects all the stuff from the boxed sets of the 1980s. This isn't AD&D- it Classic!

The setting is my own take on the World of Greyhawk [Oerth]. Specifically, the campaign has so far been located on the Wild Coast- a region of small city states and independent holdings. It's adjacent to a couple of monster dominated regions.

I began using B2 Keep on the Borderlands. The party , based out of the Keep, explored the local area and found a cave system inhabited by hostile monster tribes. There were a series of raids, ambushes, and counter ambushes. They also fought man eating evil lizardmen in the swmap [they were investigating the dissapperance of gold prospectors].

After a while, they decided the monsters in the caves were too dangerous and too well prepared [having been put on the gaurd by the party's raids], so they made ready to leave the area.

They were hired by a merchant to clear a castle he'd purchased. It had turned out to be infested with monsters! We left off last game with the party breaching the castle in a daring rope assault, and violently clearing the first few rooms.

[The castle is roofed over with glassteel skylights over certain rooms- this was surprising to the players. Makes sense if the builders were worried about flying monsters and such.]

Sounds cool! Glad to see you spiced up B1 a bit, it looked dry as could be when I read it, but I suppose it was introductory so that was to be expected. But, come on, they left the humanoids in the caves of chaos because they were too dangerous? What kind of adventurers are they?

Dig the commando assault into the castle, though.

Oh, they are talking about going back to the caves. They just want to get more experience, better equipment [items!] and such first- probably not a bad idea. The party was banged up pretty badly a couple of times, losing some NPC hirelings in fights.

It's small party , only four adventurers and one hireling [to handle the mules].

The PCs:

Hadrian fighter Lawful

Elinil elf lawful

Nosh
cleric [of Pyremius- god of fire, poison, and murder!] Chaotic

NPCs:

Katya thief Neutral

Cletus normal man[equivalent to commoner in 3E] Neutral

I'm readying an action to fire at the target I'm aiming towards if I see him raise a weapon towards Cirdan. Hopefully if these are Dorgio's friends they aren't walking around armed, but I'm not taking any chances at this point.

As Rafe wasn't too specific, I randomly determined which of the three tunnels Cirdan choose to run down. Lucky you....

To clarify, the party has moved a little ways [perhapps 60 feet] down the righthand passage. The attackers are coming from the intersection havong met there by coming down the main and leftside passages. Dorgio's buddies came from somewhere further down the right passge, in which you are all standing. Questions?

Oh and actions please. If you can, give me a primary action and a secondary action .

example:

Bozo the Fighter

primary: melee attack [with full power attack feat in ue] on nearest baddie
secondary action: aid wounded party members/drag them backwards to safer position
