Mists over the Musarde OOC
Re: Mists over the Musarde OOC
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Favored Enemy Humans... oh those 5 men will scream for mercy!
History prefers legends to men. It prefers nobility to brutality, soaring speeches to quiet deeds. History remembers the battle and forgets the blood. What ever history remembers of me if it remembers me at all, it shall only be the fraction of the truth.

You carry a strung bow to the dinner table?
Was it strung all day while you were walking around for hours and hours?
It seems rather more likely that your large weapons would be someplace nearby, but not ready. You could still have a knife or dagger at your belt, and there is also cutlery on the table.
Two choices:
- you don't have the bow ready
you do, but it might be messed up from being left strung all day- which your PC would be aware is bad for the bow

Come on, Ewan.
I just recently watched Legolas waste an elephant.
Elves are just like that.
No mercy. No surrender. That is Elven law.

Actually I said in my earlier post before we were attacked that Galandel retrieved his bow from the front and strung it..
I also agree with Raf.. I am elf.. why wouldn't I have my bow on hand? Who cares about crazy human customs and notions..

Of course his quiver would be by his bow..When Dofur comes in talking wildly about a murder, a fresh one, Galandel stands and quickly and silent moves to the front room where he left his bow and quiver. Coming back into the dining room, he string his bow.

So many Falkovnians in the Sancerre household, and yet none of them are militant and constantly armed? Just our luck!
Hey speaking of Sancerre, I didn't know that "Sancerre" was a type of wine until I noticed a bottle in a shop the other day. Now I feel slightly more cultured.

So yeah, rolled a 1. Apparently it's been a while since Benn's been in combat. He's a little rusty.

Got some crits.
8 to Benn, 10 to Dofur
No dmg to Galandel's wife, but she now has a knife at her neck.
Your turn again guys.
Adam don't forget you spiritual hammer attack.

5 foot step from the guy, cure light wounds on myself, attack roll or 18 to hit (14 + 4).

Re: Mists over the Musarde OOC
what is the penalty for making a called shot to the human's head that is holding Galandel's wife?

Precise shot is essentially a called shot feat. You have it, I see.RocEter wrote:what is the penalty for making a called shot to the human's head that is holding Galandel's wife?
He gets a +4 to AC for being behind soft cover: your wife. You cannot negate this bonus.
Don't worry about additional penalties to hit. If you hit it will be the head or close by - you cannot get a clear shot at much more besides his head and arms, anyway (hence, cover).
In addition, there will be a 50% chance that any missed shot actually hits your wife. This is more forgiving than the usual shooting at a grapple rule, but they aren't struggling much- she's too scared to do more than squirm and wriggle with that long blade at her pretty little neck.
Okay, William Tell, do your thing.

I have to butt into this thread to say: Nice shot.
"No, but evil is still being — Is having reason — Being reasonable! Mousie understands? Is always being reason. Is punishing world for not being... Like in head. Is always reason. World should be different, is reason."
