Yes- Dorgio can have high-tailed it to the Hall of Justice. He'll be stopped outside by gendarmes and questioned.

Note on laws:

As you may have noticed, the ACLU would cry if they saw this trial. Remember, this is a more or less medieval culture. All persons are not equal before the law, the accused have fewer rights than in the United States, and punishments can be rather harsh by our modern American or European standards. Yes, torture may be used to extract information under certain circumstances. On the other hand, long imprisonments are quite rare.

A tidbit:
Rapists may be castrated.

This is still way better for Gal than him being tried in my version of Falkovnia. There, he'd automatically be made a slave, and probably forced to fight wild dogs for the amusement of the soldiers, Don't even ask what would happen to his wife.

In Barovia, he'd have been lynched last night.

Adam, John knows of someone who can possibly help us magically which is why he is asking to take both weapons to that person, Mr Mirabulos. Maybe one of the gendarmes or the captain have heard of his shop.
