Sorry that Goren isn't much help. He has no more spells and can't swim for sh*t.

It's okay. Soon, there should be plenty more adventure for all.

I assume Zumba will have to make a check to see if he can throw the rope 100 ft.?

Well, I'm willing to handwave that. ^^ But how much rope do you actually have?

I wouldn't say 100ft. We were 100ft away from Vincent before we closed in. And Zumba can walk 50ft in normal conditions, so if needed he can go a bit inside the swamp. As for rope:I have one normal hemp, not silk. That's usually 50ft as I recall.

Hello,

Some of you may remember that I joined you briefly last year; however, due to real life circumstances, I was not able to continue at that time. I've spoken to your DM, Rock, and I'm considering returning to the campaign, but I want to play something that will be a meaningful contribution. Therefore, Rock suggested that I ask you, the party, what kind of character could contribute the most or fill a role that you feel is currently lacking in the party.

I am looking forward to your suggestions. :)

First of all, welcome Higginz and it's good that you came back to play :)
Secondly...
Well... I can think of a few really :). We lack an arcane caster, with AoE spells... and a rogue... maybe a proper tank. If we look at it from a traditional point of view, we have few traditional roles well-covered.

We have a priest, that is well done. As for the rest, we have two fighter types, but I'm not sure any of them is a good tank. Maybe Vincent is, but I haven't figured him out clearly yet. Zumba is a mobile hitter, but doesn't do much else. He's fast and athletic but has weak defenses.

Then, we've got Lucien who's also a mystery. He's a psionic and so can fill part of the arcane role, apparently, and maybe of the rogue side too, but we're missing both properly.

I agree with Ail. But as a rule, I would just tell you play what you want to. An example would be if I wanted to join a game and they needed a Mage. I am not a big fan of playing mages heh! Hey a Monk can kick some serious behind with good feats :D

Honestly, I would enjoy playing any of the three that Ail mentioned. I enjoy playing wizards, rogues, and tanks. If I create a tank or rogue it might be fun to make a Caliban with Rock's permission. A Caliban barbarian, fighter or rogue might be fun. I want to play something that will help the party though.

Tarlyn just said something extremely significant in his latest post...! Wisdom checks, DC15 from everyone at the scene, please.

I play a Caliban Barbarian in another game and I modeled him after LOBO the DC character. Calibans are great but people tend to stay away from them.

I'm catching up on the reading now. When I'm finished, I'll start drawing up some character concepts. :)
