It struck me that the Doctor intentionally wiped out his own race as well as the Daleks. he said he had no coice, but whatever he did, his intent was to destroy both races. Definately an Act of Ultimate Darkness there

A friend of mine wants Cybermen episodes, if there aren't any I think he'll cry, lol.

Still looking forward to the Simon Pegg episode this weekend :)

Drinnik, is there anything concrete on the other Dalek epsiodes are is it just rumour? I'd love it if at least 1 of those episodes is concrete ;)

I know they're definately in the last episode, and according to the IMDB they're in a few more.

Oh and check out:

It's the website that the fella showed Rose in the first episode, updated by the Doctor Who crew.

Watched Saturday's episode, really didn't think much of it, other then it was on to early in the evening for the corpses shown.....

The episode "Dalek" was much better :D

I dunno if it was to early to show corpses on tv, Neighbours has been near enough showing full blown sex this past couple of weeks and that is on even earlier in the evening and at lunchtimes, lol.

The episode was a little flat but Simon Pegg helped save it. I am hoping next weeks is better, though it looks like it goes against things already established in previous Doctor Who stories.

Just saw that Dalek episode:

Gotta say it...
Exterminate! Exterminate!

Totally awesome - I especially liked the part where the scientist laughs at the Dalek when it comes to the stairs - just before it "elevates". Very keen.
The death ray was pretty good as well, though I was hoping for something a little more flashy - perhaps like the Martian deathrays from Mars Attacks.
And as a bonus we got to see a Dalek without the armor. Very neat.

I wonder whether it was a good idea to bump Adam like that. He didn't have much of a chance to make an impression, though with his stunts at Satelite 5, I see why the Doctor wanted rid of him.
Have to fight, cause I know
in the end it's worthwhile,
that the pain that I feel slowly fades away.
It will be alright

Not the first time we have seen one, but at least this one wasn't made from paper mache and bubblewrap, lol.

Ahhh, Daleks. So very cool. They did a nice job just slightly tweaking the look of the Dalek. And of course they just had to use the suction cup for something.

The Doctor wiping out both races though... I can see him doing that. If it meant saving many more races. Evidently the war was raging out of control consuming other worlds (we can name at least two), so if the Doctor thought other worlds would die as well he might not hesitate to wipe out the Daleks from existance. And the Time Lords.
Certianly a cool idea, does mean the Doctor works alone now. He can't ever call for help or back-up.

Hi all,
I too have been following the new Doctor Who series faithfully. I am really too young to remember the earlier shows. I vaguely remember being very afraid of the Daleks, which just kept on coming and never relented, but at that time I was also afraid of Gargamel, the wizard from the smurfs.

I thought the doctor was indeed revealed as someone who is rather cold and chilly, all things must make way for necessity. He would wipe out two entire races and take beings from their surroundings adn expect them to behave properly in completely alien surroundings.

It is always nice to see simon pegg, too bad that spaced is no longer on tv.

You can next see Simon Pegg in "City of the Dead", George A. Romero's new film. He and Ed Wright are appearing as zombies because Romero was so impressed with Shaun of the Dead.

Caught the end of this week's episode. Apparently, it's the scariest yet because of Richard Wilson's face turning into a gas mask. The little boy was kinda creepy, and the BBC learnt its lesson about 2-part spoilers.

And Jack Harness? After he's made a ploy for Rose's attentions, he's going to start flirting with the Doctor himself. I can see that's going to cause complaints, but when the man who is writing it is the man who wrote the superb "Queer as Folk" you have to expect him to put in something to do with gay issues.

Just wanted to say that the first episode was just shown on TV over here. The series looks good but I'm waiting to see more 'outside the normal world' episodes. Good way to start it though.

Is anyone else missing the old format with multiple episode story arcs?

hi all,
Dr Who was good again, I thought the transformation from face to gasmask was indeed horrific. and the little boy asking for his mommy was defenitely creepy.

Queer as folk was indeed superb, I watched it all when is was on TV here. I lived in manchester for a bit and it was nice to see those neighbourhoods again. I wonder what will happen when someone hits on the doctor. 5 more days till saturday
