I've posted firearms rules on the Background Notes thread.

Just my attempt at bypassing the no profanity rule. Scarabs, are, after all, just dung beetles. And since the dung beetles roll the dung to store as food, well, you see where this is going.

Rolled a gather information check of 24 Ewan . So what do I find out about this Deiks guy in time ?

Is it safe to assume that Cirdan, Alain, or Benn would have told Dorgio and Norzak what the innkeeper said after Norzak and Dorgio left? Is there anything that either of us weren't told?

Alain would of filled in the blanks for Norzak at the least.

Yeah, it isn't a money issue. It's a question of influence- something your new patron has in spades.

Okay guys-

Sounds like the party plans on going after Van Diecks. Go ahead and keep on RPing. I'm a bit busy this weekend, but I will nonetheless check up on the thread periodically. I'll shift the scene after you all have had a chance to cook up a plan.

Ewan...I will gather info/diplomacy/bluff the river quarter gals to glean info about van Dieks. You have my stats, I assume you will roll for me. (that seems the most fair after all) As the character of Norzak has been kind to Jon, in return Jonathan looks out for the dwarf especially-ie-any bandits/monstrobes come up to him I will always move to flank (you have my ridiculous tumble score so you know attacks of opportunity are rare) and that means supa-sneak attack biznatch, even if I had better attacks elsewhere. Jonathan Maytr looks out for the dwarf Norzak. Jonathan never steals from the dwarf and never lies to him, as well he can, and trusts him more than humans who Jonathan seems to distrust alot. Male sexuality, in public, seems to bother the lad immensly. Benn, with his arcanist knowledge, frightens Jonathan, so Jon watches him with awe and interest. PC's will be surprised at Jonathans ease with the opposite sex. The company of women is something that comes easy to Jonathan, and he is rarely without a female companion after a days work below or adventuring. Though he is oddly distant about the idea of courtship. A perfect wingman, the young lad is quite good at supplying companionship for all of his adventuring group. Anytime someone remarks about his hair, Jonathan grows weary of that person. His Charisma of 17 is enough to put most NPC's at ease, and his high Bluff and Diplomacy scores are valuable in any information gathering mission. People just like the lad.

Alain and Jonathon are off to the River Quater [not necessarily travelling as an obvious pair, but maybe close enough to help each other out if there is trouble??] to gather intel about Van Diecks and his gang.

Are the rest of you guys are going to go find someone who makes silver weapons?

Who is going out to eat? Will this be combined with the silver buying agenda? There are little cafes and eateries near the artisans' shops you'd want to visit.


I can handle a split scene like this very easily. Have I read your intentions correctly, guys? If so, I can advance the scene. If you want more time to roleplay, I can hold off. I don't want to railroad y'all.

Skybolt- I've taken into account your Gather Info check. It was prerolled by you, but ALain still has to actually go out and collect info specifically on Van Diecks. It's pretty unlikely the baddies have ever heard of you or Jonathon. You are both relative newcomers and weren't part of the operation that took down Malreux, after all. You're fresh faces in town.

Matyr- same deal. I've rolled a check for you. You'll see the reults in play.

Maytr hopes to get the bath first as he thinks this will help with the ladies and mentions it to Norzak. Jonathan also looks for food that is native to the land, local treats and such.

That check is for when they go out for some food with/without Jonathan. If Jonathan gathers info at the same time as Alain, then before they leave to do that he will be giving Jon a gold piece for food as advanced payment for services rendered .
