Hi all,

this thread is long enough and I don't have the patience to read through all of its 7 pages now (plus the older thread that started it all).

Can anyone put me up to date?

How many NPCs do you have / how many are missing?
Are those NPCs villains or heroes?
Can they be stranded in one fixed place or must they be able to move around?
Can strong themes be used?

I had thought of sending over a character in my campaign, but he's almost an invalid villain who doesn't leave his house and his villainy is based on sexual torture of young people, so that may not be accepted. I'd just like to know beforehand.

Hi Ail,

We've got the following material so far:
Desdichado wrote:But people, get moving!

I've got only five submissions so far, and that's simply not enough!

I have so far:

Kimuriel by VAN

VAN by VAN

The Nameless by Seamus

Vincent Foxgrove by Jinn

Rosa Petrovich by Jinn
PLUS

Dradrag Sotris by VAN

Ivid the Bowman by ME, Des

Lodissio Benainnant by ME, Des

*A special character* by ME, Des

PLUS

promised submissions by:

Coan,

Alhoon,

Jinn

and maybe one or two others as well.

In general, I'd prefer NPCs that are universally aplliable and can pop up everywhere on a gaming world, and are not bound to a special place. - From my point of view, your character sounds more like a lord in his own pocket domain than a usual party-accompanying NPC or *flexible* villain. Maybe QtR or USS would be the better adress to send the manuscript in...

As to *adult* content in general - I personally think it can be allowed, as long as it doesn't cross the line of bad taste. Means, speaking in movie terms, *Clockmaster* from *Mindhunters* okay, *Buffalo Bill* from *The Silence of the Lambs* not. - In any case, anything that will go with explicite pornographical acts, or child pornography will NOT be accepted neither by me, nor by the FoS, who will most likely host this book on their site.

Hope that helps a bit.

Yours,

Rafael

Thanks Des,
indeed the villain is not exactly a darklord, though he can still seal the exists (funny how I did that in my campaign and didn't even notice). He is just almost an invalid and happens to be a wizard who can arcane lock his house at will.

As for the sex in it, that's all in the description, but I only give a general scene and let the players understand what happened (well, with my players I can be a bit more graphic, but not much). But due to its 'sedentariness', I really think it won't fit well in your book.

Thanks for clearing up your intentions.

:) As always, I can't give a real judgement without having read the text itself. - If you have it at hand, please send it in nonetheless. - Or if you have another epic NPC from a campaign that you would like to share, here er are! :)

Thanks, but no, I don't have Epic NPCs (they're all about the mid-levels so the PCs can handle them, usually) and this isn't properly written yet... so I'll pass, but thanks anyway.

If you ever come to have have something *epic* on your way, you know where to bring it... :)

Doesn't HAVE to be epic. My two submissions so far were level 11 and... crap, I already forgot what level Rosa was. Single digits, though, I think.

Yes, indeed...

I'll now start to put everything I got so far together.

I know there are still some who have announced that they want to contribute, but well, I'll now just start with the overall work - which might take quite a while.

When I am done with it, no more submissions will be accepted. Until then, some of you fellow late-comers will still have the chance...

Greetings again,

After checking a bit what kind of art can be acquired for free, I have decided to leave art out of the book... :?

But if everyone of you could find a good literary quote to put before your articles, that would be pretty cool as well...

Plus, please write some short info on yourself, for the credits.

More later.

:)

Hey Des,

So wait, is this just essentially a net book full of Frat avatars? Like, 'here's how you insert Drinnik Shoehorn into your campaign' sort of thing?

I'll admit, its tempting to design a sheet for my perverted Undead Cabbage Zherisian Taxi Cab driver.

Edit: CRap, deadline's already happened! Oh well, looks like it will make an awesome net book, des!
