Saragoss

I find myself especially intrigued by domains which serve as prisons within the greater prison of Ravenloft itself, such as Dr. Heinforth's sinister asylum or the watery domain of Saragoss. I think an adventure in Saragoss would require developing several of the trapped ships and their crews, but it seems to me that a few adventures there would be worth the expenditure of that effort. Has anyone ever played or DMed an adventure in Saragoss, and if so, how did it go?

Saragoss is going to be soon or later object of a rewriting.

Saragoss, as written now, is just a short survival horror week end in hell. As lot of isles of terror coming from the second edition, Draga Saltbitter is just an obstacle for travelling PCs.

Our own Deepshadow used Saragoss as the basis of his "Reckonings" Epic Level campaign. You can find some of it by searching for "Reckonings" here. (It started on another board that I don't think exists anymore, but moved here before eventually petering out.) He did a lot to flesh out the domain, and its long-term inhabitants, making it more of a home-base than weekend in hell.

The domain came up twice IMC, but in neither case was there an actual adventure. Rather, Saragoss was the doom of one PC and part of the origin story of another, connected, character.
I like Saragoss quite a lot and would happily run an entire mini-campaign in the domain.
PS
Ducktales: Bermuda Triangle Tangle is essential viewing.

Thanks for the replies!
Mistmaster and Kourenko, a little harsh, don't you think? I don't see why Saragoss would need a rewrite. I concur that considerable work would be required to make it a viable setting for multiple adventures, but as already stated, I think that work would be worth it, a view supported by Gonzoron's post.
Ewancummins, you and I are of like mind! I too would be glad to run a mini-campaign in Saragoss. Of course what would be best is to run a campaign with PC's from another world, who follow the ghost ship lure and find themselves in Saragoss. When they finally do escape the domain, it is only into the greater whole of Ravenloft.

I have rewritten a good chunk of canon domains to fit my views andneeds, Saragoss would need one to became part of my Mistworld. I do not like weekend in hell scenarious very much, that's why I turned Odiare in Collodi.

I wouldn't say we are harsh. As it is, even inside a cluster,Saragoss is a survival-horror island of terror. Perhaps one or two sessions but nothing more or a lot of work would be needed.
I will be honest, i tried when i began making maps for my next campaign but i have no idea about it. I made it a whole sea but even then, i had no ideas...
Saragoss can be interesting but it need a whole rework.
Edit: i just saw that old netbooks will be hosted here and one of them is about saragoss, it can interest you.
