Would it be at all possible to create a combination of the sword cane and the parthian rapier?
A parthian sword cane, if you will.
I do recall the hilt of a parthian rapier needs to be modified to incorporate the gun's mechanism and the trigger. Would it be possible to alter these so they could fit inside a sword cane without being grossly obvious?

Single-shot derringer and the like could be pretty small. Looking at some pictures of mock ups and the like, most of the ones I'm seeing are smaller than my grandfather's sword cane (which is about 1 1/2" diameter cane). The one issue is that you might have to set the gun mechanism in order to fire it after drawing, as I'm not sure you could have it primed to fire while inside the cane itself. Potentially if the cane head is very ornate you could potentially hide the mechanisms on the outside in the decoration.
That's all rough guessing though.

So it'd be more like an assassin's rifle -- something you smuggle around, then set up in a hidden location -- than a quick-and-dirty weapon like the Parthian rapier.
Hmm... Bet there'd be a market for such a thing in the Dread Realms.

Just that sort of pistol and concealed blade combination been done in the real world with percussion guns in the 19th Century.
In principle, this ought to be doable with a flintlock, as well. But I don't know that priming it and carrying it about as a cane would work out so well.
I'd rate it as a small pistol, -1 to hit with reduced damage dice, and a dagger (melee only) -1 to hit.
A close look will always reveal the pistol, but at night, or striding by in a crowd, the weapon would be concealed.
