Hello brothers DM.
My party just finished feast of goblyns, they managed to recover the crown from Dr Dominiani, and i want them to face his master:Duc Gundar.
I read that Gundar died by a treatrise on his loyal lieutenant Dr Dominiani.
Do you really know how this happens?
And i'm looking for duc Gundar stats in 3rd edition, if u know where i can find them.
I don't really knows how Gundar fall, because in FOG Dominiani and Akriel plot to eliminate him with their army of gobelyns with the help of the crown, but with the crown recovers how Dominiani managed to kill his master?
It will impossible that Dominiani convince my party to go and kill Gundar cause they're deadly ennemy (they defeated him once), so how i can send them kill him (knowing that they're good friend if Harkon Lukas from KArtakass, because they free the village of Hommlock from undead invasion).
Ideas most welcome.

There's no Gundar 3ED stats. In fact, I don't think there's official Gundar stats at all (always made me laugh in FoG when they said how the Black Box game enough info about Gundar. SUre right ). In one of the Kargatane netbook there's unnofficial stats though. He's also featured in CotN: Werebeasts but I don't know if he had stats.

Anyhow, in canon it is Dominiani who tricks the heroes of FoG to attack Gundar. If I recall, the heroes try to kill GUndar and he believes Dominiani is on his side. So when the two vampires wait and ambushes the heroes, Dominiani turns on him and exposes the Duke so sunlight, crippling him and allowing the heroes to stake him.
That's the canon story.

I did run the same adventure but it went quite differently. THe PCs were also ennemies of Dominiani but, I don't remember how since it was years ago, he did convince them to go kill Gundar for him. He had them enter castle Hunadora but he tipped them off to GUndar (who was out of the castle because of the threat they paused), they were paws in order for Dominiani to earn the duke's confidence. After they came out of the castle, they wanted to revenge themselves and managed to track back Dominiani. He said he didn't knew the duke knew about them but that now that he left the castle, he was vulnerable.

So followed a terrible fight but in the end, they forced Gundar to his coffin and had a burning stake driven into his heart killing him. I think I had a big explosion following it up and Dominiani turned against the PC to "thank them" for their help. They managed to flee the domain and Dominiani had the bad surprise of discovering that he couldn't follow them since he was the new darklord.

THat's how Gundar died in my games.
