Some Domain Questions

Okay, first up: are there more then five Ravenloft Gazetteers? If so, what domains are covered in Six and beyond?

Where are the third ed details (other then the small blurb given in the Ravenloft Campaing Setting) for Markovia, G'henna, Hazlan, Odiare, the Verduous Lands, the Wild Lands and the Shadowlands?

I'm sorry if I come off as insulting, I just want to know.

Gazzetters are at five now with the entire core deatailed so far.

Six and above are in limbo right now and will only come out if Ravenloft keeps up sales.

Markovia, G'henna, Odiare, the Verduous Lands, the Wild Lands and the Shadowlands have noyt been upadted to 3rd officaly yet but Hazlan is in gaz 2 or 3 IIRC.

Hazlan is actually in Gazetteer I which covers Barovia, Forlorn, Hazlan and Kartakass.

We hope that a Gaz on the seas (either one or two) will come out next year and that would presumably cover Markovia.

Thank you. Tell me; have any of the old Van Richten's Guides (Vampires, the Lich, Fiends, the Created, Werebeasts, Ghosts, Vistani, Witches) been converted to 3rd Edition? Because I'm positive I found a 3rd ed copy of Guide to the Created once. Also, have any of the Children of the Night been updated to 3rd Edition?

I do know that Guide to the Walking Dead and Guide to the Shadow Fey were created in 3rd Ed though.

There are no official conversion of 2nd stuff to 3rd ed. The only exception to it is I-10, AFAIK.

So the VRG were not converted. If you saw a VRG to the Created in 3rd ed, it was a fan made thing.

I believe one of the authors mentioned in an interview (or something) that the update for the Van Richten's Guides from 2E was the monster sections of the RL: Campaign Setting book and the RL: Players Handbook.

You can get a 3rd Ed I10?

I haven't looked for it yet, but I read on the WotC board that EnWord has a conversion of it. It was made before WotC forbid it.

If you have the link, let us know :)

Someone should mention that a summary of the game rules published in the 2E VR Guides series were converted to 3E in the RL PHB and the VR Arsenal I. One could easily keep the flavor text from 2E and use the rules from 3E...

As for the 3E conversion of I10, really folks.. it isn't that hard to find.

a) log to ENWorld (else you won't be able to access the file)
b) click on (left side of the screen) Download
c) click on Conversion Library

There you go...

I apologise if this is forbidden, but can anyone give me a list of domains which weren't converted into 3rd Ed?

I figure you mean domains that have not been tagged for probable future Gazetteers.

Off the top of my head:

Staunton Bluffs
Scaena (they *allude* to it in the RLDMG, but it's described almost more like a phantasmagoria)
Nosos
Kalidnay (rights problems)
Tovag and Cavitus (though presumably they cease to exist after the events in Die Vecna Die!)
Aggaroth
Leederik (The Phantom Lover)'s domain (did it ever have a name?)
Davion
Risibilos (you probably haven't even heard of this one. You haven't missed much)
The House of Lament (which I think has been reclassified as a phantasmagoria).

Not correct, I am afraid. Check GAZ IV (map on p.10/text on p.14)

For the (increasingly historical) record:
Brandi wrote:Staunton Bluffs
This one was penciled in to be the first domain covered in the final Gazetteer (Volume XIII). (The last was to have been Bluetspur, the middle two being left "blank" to make room for brand new islands of terror).
Brandi wrote:Scaena ke a phantasmagoria)
Nosos
Aggaroth
Leederik (The Phantom Lover)'s domain (did it ever have a name?)
Davion
The House of Lament (which I think has been reclassified as a phantasmagoria).
In the general Kargatane plan, these were all pocket domains, and thus for the most part would have been presented in the combination pocket domain/nightmares book that we kept trying to get on the schedule (but never did).

As a passing reference to the monsters I recently posted, the last of my uncompleted Ravenloft dream product/adventures was to have been set in Scaena. That one never even progressed to a detailed outline -- it was just mental doodlings. Entitled Death in Three Acts, it was a linked set of three short adventures -- that are actually all part of the same, single adventure where the PCs slowly realize they've been onstage all along. (The three adventures are three progressively more aritificial plays the PCs are subjected to.)
Brandi wrote:Kalidnay (rights problems)
Tovag and Cavitus (though presumably they cease to exist after the events in Die Vecna Die!)
These three domains are the only ones we intended to never bring back. By which I mean, some domains we actively wanted to bring back, some we just didn't really care about that much one way or the other. These three we knew we wouldn't address even if we had the opportunity -- for the reasons you list. One's pointless under the current licensing; the
other two got blowed up real good. (Though in an ideal world, it would have been nice to have remnants of the Cult of the Maimed Lord still lurking elsewhere in the Land of Mists.)
Brandi wrote:Risibilos (you probably haven't even heard of this one. You haven't missed much)
That one got rolled up into Liffe, didn't it?

In the wine cellar, you'll find a list of domains.

For each, you'll find the source of info in 3rd ed, if any.

It is followed by a list of domains made by fans, and that were never mentionned yet in 3rd ed.

The domain listing in The Wine Cellar could do with an update though, there have been a few additions and domain updates since in netbooks.
