'Accidents' in Mansions

I've started this thread in light of my campaign in Mordent, however this is the type of thing that can be applied to just about any campaign in a mansion/castle/hotel etc.
What are some 'accidents' that can happen in a mansion, as per some of the accidents in the game 13th Dead End Drive? Ideally, each accident should be centered around something you would normally find in a Mansion. Some exampes of the top of my head:
- Chandelier falls down, crushing the players
- A flight of stairs quickly turns into a frictionless ramp, causing the players to fall backwards
- the classic 'shifty eyes' painting
- sitting in a seat/bed triggers manacles to brace the players
- Dr. Evil's 'Trap door dinner table'
There are bound to be less cliche ones out there. I am looking forward to your ideas.

Door handles fall off locking characters into rooms
Chair(s) collapses (especially if used to stand on)
Steps of irregular height trip the hasty
Step(s) breaks perhaps sending them crashing into closets perhaps filled with glasses and even an glass oil lantern or two
Animals manage to always be under foot tripping them
Bear and wolf skin rugs before the fireplace, with the heads still attached, seem to sutblely displace themselves, when not watched, to be under foot and trip them into the fire
Foot rests seem to magically move, when not watched, to be under foot and trip them
Sparks fly from fireplace causing slight damage or perhaps even setting someone or their possessions on fire
Rat bites while wood is being picking up for the fire
Armed mouse traps in draws, under the edge of beds, in beds, etc.
The same painting seems to follow them from room to room, but of course when they go back and check it is different, suggesting that they are falling into paranoia
Removing a book from a bookcase brings the entire bookcase, and the heavy vase on top of it, crashing down
A fragile bottle of champagne in the wine cellar explodes when touched setting off a chain reaction
Loose stone falls from a vaulted ceiling
Curtain rod crashes down if curtains are pulled
Bell crashes down from bell tower if its rope is pulled
Suit of armour crashes to the floor if so much as brushed
Grand piano collapses if stood upon or perhaps even if played
Food poisoning

The Suit of Armor holding the axe in the parlor becomes unhinged and allows the axe to swing down and chop the back of the PCs chair.
The firepalce in the Pcs room sparks and crackles spitting out sparks that catch the PCs clothes on fire.
The grand harpsicord in the main hall snaps a overly taunt string when played causing it to snap back and the strike the player in the face.

Some ideas:
Winecellar walkway that breaks open and drops a victim into a huge vat of wine.
Balcony railing that breaks away with the weight of someone leaning on it.
Decorative vase or satue pearched precariously above a doorway
Cupid statue that fires an stone arrow
Door knocker shaped like a lions head. When touched, it bites down an crushes/locks the wrist.
Large hole in the floor concealed by a carpet. Corners of carpet drag a cover over the opening, thus trapping the victim inside.
Awning over the bed which is made of steel (covered by cloth). When a switch is pulled, the heavy top crashes down, smushing the sleeper.
Murphey Bed: A bed balanced on a fulcrum so that upon activation the wall at the head slides down, draging the top of the bed down, thereby sliding the sleeper into the chamber beyond (possibly into a vat of boiling water?).
Cuckoo clock that fires a bladed spearhead on a retractable arm.
