Has anybody ever used the Echansons heresy of the Church of Ezra in their campaigns, or run any campaigns around them?

Too much Dan Brown, I know.

While not a scion of Ezra story I did steal a plot from Star Trek* and had Warden Pineau create a Alchemical clone of Ezra based off of blood found on one of her shards after being turned down for Bastion. He was going to use the child to place him in power and spark a holy war against the "heritic" religons.

AS the child has vast healing powers and knew the scriptures of ezra by heart the PCs are faced with a crisss of faith. Do they follow this Ezra and wage war or do they deny the child as a fraud and face the wrath of an entire church?

*in one episode they cloned the klingon god king Kaless from blood found on one of his blades and infused his mind with every tale and story of Kaless untill the clone thought himself to be Kaless. He was caught up in the lie after not being able to remember anthing outside of the holy tales (Such as how tall the butcher of Martok was when he battles him or what the weather was like)

Reading The Da Vinci Code would be a good starting-point, since that would seem to be the source of the idea.

Actually, Holy Blood, Holy Grail predates Da Vinci Code by over 20 years, and since it's a nonfiction book (note: nonfiction != truth) you don't have to wade through the airport-novel plotlines to get the gist of the underlying conspiracy.

Yeah, but, they'll sue you if you do that.

Thanks, I totally missed it.

About the DaVinci Code... I couldn't read it. Really. I was hating every line, and I don't know why.

If you want a REALLY good book, you should read "El ultimo Caton" and "Jacobus" by Matilde Asensi.
Is that even out in the US? :?:
