Finally finished Session 13. The Journal is now up at the usual place:

http://themistway.com/

And now, by request, with optional DM's commentary.

Featuring:
Some Soul of Goodness in Things Evil, part 3
the Return of Lord Valric
and the Death of Vir Stannum

It all comes down to this. The biggest climax of the game thus far...

One more session to catch up on and then I'll be up to date again. (Then I'll be going back to add DM's Commentary to all the previous sessions).
Comments always welcome...

Hey, that was quite a session. Many decisive battles with long nemeses (Vir is really dead? :) ). Quite fun to read too.

Thanks for the DM's notes! I like the way you inserted them.

That's quite eerie of Duffy's player to want to rebuild Vir, but a good one this time ... Wow! That can generate great adventure hooks ... All the people he can meet, etc.

Thanks! I really enjoyed this one. I had envisioned that final battle with Vir way back when I first created the character. Is he really dead? well... this is Ravenloft, of course. :) It's probably more accurate to say he's "broken" but could be fixed. I set up the clues for his eventual return with the Fir that was stalking them last session. Somewhere down the road, I expect that Fir to dig him up and repair him. But I'm going to wait for a while before introducing any clues to that effect, so that the well-deserved victory doesn't seem stolen from them.

When he eventually returns, I'd prefer it to feel like a real resurrection, not like they never killed him at all.

I'm happy with the way it came out. Took some stretching of my HTML skills to get it looking like I wanted. I definately plan on going back and inserting them in past sessions soon.

I know, it's too good of an opportunity to pass up. Very Ravenloftian. The trouble is that I don't want to cheat Duffy out of his cool idea, but I do have big plans of my own for Vir's return. Thankfully I've got a long time to think about it, but still, I'm very torn.
