			He was a [[young]], [[Kislovan]] [[peasant]]<ref>[[Baroness of Blood]] p. 221</ref> [[farmer]] that lived in [[Pirie]]. On [[night]]s he favored gathering with three of his friends in secret discuss Kislovan freedom from the rule of [[Sundell]]. Eventually they had a run-in with several [[soldier]]s that turned [[violent]]. Emory and his associates were [[capture]]d and [[imprisoned]]. Although Emory's friend [[Leka]] perished, Emory survived the run-in. [[Baroness Ilsabet Obour]] treated her [[prisoner]] well and told him of her plans for public works and to enrich Kislova again. Ultimately, she [[killed]] him and [[reanimated]] him as a [[alchemical vampire]]. Then the baroness sent Emory out to [[Pirie]] to tell the people of Ilsabet's plans for public works and to enrich the Kislova once again.<ref>BoB p. 195-201</ref>
