Depictions of the Lady of the Plains show her as a thin, sun-darkened woman dressed in a robe of sun-bleached cotton. She goes barefoot through the worst desert, her only possession apart from her robe a waterflask given to her as a present by fellow Loa ''[[Papa Fleuve]]''.
