An Amulet of Safekeeping is a silver or steel amulet suspended from a silver chain. The core of the amulet is hollow, holding a piece of a certain kind of creature. The Amulet purportedly prevents the specified kind from attacking the amulet's wearer, though no protection from mind-affecting effects is provided. The Amulet's actual function may differ from what powers the Amulet is reported to have.[1]
