Celebrated on July 10 in recognition of the warmest day in summer, Summer's Night began as a holiday in Lamordia but has since spread to nearby Dementlieu, Falkovnia, and Mordent. Although it is purported by Lamordians to stave off horrendous winters, it has lost this context in traveling to nearby domains, where it represents mostly a festival in the middle of summer.

The celebration marks a time for the Lamordian people to wear clothing much brighter than their normal bland and stodgy garments. Before the festival, women gather flowers to make masks and men gather flowers to make crowns. As the festival commences, women represent aspects of summer whereas men represent aspects of winter. With the descent of twilight, the people go into a traditional dance that embodies summer's conquest over winter. Said dance is purported to be the source of summer's perpetuation.

As the Summer's Night tradition has spread to other domains, the accoutrements have shifted to reflect the trends of the local populace[1]
