Novgor

Dagger of Kulchek the Wanderer, now carried by Inza. This dagger was given to Inza by Azrael Dak in exchange for the enslaved giant Nabon. Azrael had been given the dagger by Malocchio Aderre in exchange for a military alliance, though it is unknown how Mallochio had received it.

The dagger was supposedly ever sharp and never dulling, and was supposedly used to carve the magical club Gard from a tree located at the top of the world, whose wood was so durable only Novgor's edge could ever carve it.

Magda, wielder of Gard, had long sought this dagger and in her dreams divined that a Vistana of Kulchek's blood that wielded this dagger would carve a remarkable destiny for herself, even altering the history of the Dark Domains.

Inza, daughter of Magda, used this dagger to notch and damage Gard, causing it to break in battle and resulting in the death of Magda.

Novgor is presumably still with Inza, as it was still on her person when she plunged into the Great Rift around Nedragaard Keep.

Statistics

2nd Edition

Novgor is a +4 Dagger. A Vistani Thief gains a +10% to any open locks skill while using it. Novgor never dulls and always seems bright and polished. In the hands of a descendant of Kulchek, the dagger also has the following properties: It can cast Color Spray at will provided there is a light source larger then a candle within 5 yards of it. Once per week the dagger can be used to cast advanced illusion at 12th level at a duration of 1 hour/per level. This ability exhausts the user, reducing their strength and Con Score by half for 24 hours. Novgor likely possess other properties, but nobody has learned of them.

3rd Edition

Novgor is a +4 Dagger of Wounding that can be used by any pure blooded Vistani as a masterwork lockpick. Novgor never dulls and always seems bright and polished. In the hands of a descendant of Kulchek, the dagger also has the following properties: It can cast Color Spray at will provided there is a light source larger then a candle within 5 yards of it. Once per week the dagger can be used to cast major image at 12th level at a duration of 1 hour/level. This ability exhausts the user, reducing their strength and Con Score by half for 24 hours. (All spells are cast as by a12th-level sorcerer and have a save DC of 16, where applicable.)
