Vieland is the norwest district of Ustalav, with Sinaria to the east. It is protected on its north and east sides by the Moutray River and the Vhatsuntide River. The Crumbling Hills shields its western border from Falkovnia. Vieland is something of a wild and woody area, filled with forests (particularly the (Shudderwood Forest) and hills.[1]

Once counties of Ustalav, Vieland and Canterwall overthrew their noble lords and established citizens councils in their place in the Bloodless Revolution of 713 BC. They are now the palatinates of Ustalav.[2]
