The Amulet of Arak is part of the Regalia of Arak[1][2]. The Amulet functions as an amulet of life protection[1], granting the user invulnerability to magic that targets the wearer's life force[2]. The Amulet can also be used to cast a number of Summon Nature's Ally spells.[2] However, the Amulet of Arak imprisons the bearer's soul should the bearer meet death. The soul is kept inside unless somehow liberated or removed, such as by the capture of a new soul[1].
As with the other Regalia, the Amulet of Arak is cursed when used by entities other than shadow fey[1][2]. In addition to the other curses standard to the Regalia, such owners of this artifact become increasingly insubstantial should the Amulet not be used to cast its spells at least once daily[2].
