Valsarik Alanov

Valsarik Alanov is a minor character from the Heart of Midnight novel. He was a manservant whom first encountered Casimir and [[Thoris (of Harmonia) trespassing on his master's property on South Hill. Miraculously (to them, though this was because of Casimir's bestial nature), Casimir had just survived a suicide attempt jumping off the cliff of the hill. Valsarik took them in and nursed their wounds, letting them sleep for a time before taking them back to the Red Porch Poorhouse.

Later, after Casimir achieved power in Harmonia, Valsarik encountered Harkon Lukas while walking his master's dogs. Unknown to Valsarik, Harkon used the opportunity to beguile one of the dogs. He order the dog to kidnnap and kill Johannes, the four-year-old son of Valsarik's master as part of a complex scheme to alienate the people of Harmonia from Casimir.
