Category:Belief
Belief is a fundamental attitude. It is an institution. It is an organising principle of an individual's way of being in the world. Belief is assent to something (or someone) and can be conscious or unconscious. A person confirmed in his or her faith has assented consciously to the religion in which he or she was raised. A person in his every step and every glance assents unconsciously to the existence of the world. To come to doubt a religion in which one was raised not an easy thing for it is to deny the world one long abided in and to win for oneself a renovated world. To come to doubt the existence of the world in which one has always lived is an impossible thing for it is to deny one's one own perception and to seek their annihilation by mere thought. One may doubt what one see. One may not doubt that one sees. The sensaion of the living body cannot be thought out of existence.
