The van Hassens were a family of landowners that once presided over the hamlet of Tranquility on the Prime Material Plane. They ruled mostly by the extent of owning most of the town's land. The van Hassens and their servants were abducted by the Mists and taken to the Endless Road following the wrongful execution of the Horseman. Now they are effectively trapped within the van Hassen Estate. Neither the van Hassens nor their servants ever age, though they do not acknowledge this fact.[1]
