This map of Markovia was taken almost literally from the module 'Neither Man Nor Beast. This set contained two maps - one for players, and one for the DM. I always felt the player map should not show as much as it does though, so the player maps on this site have some info missing, such as the broken one's camps.
The method I used for this map was different than others. The Markovia map was pretty detailed. Initial attentpts at drawing the island coast freehand failed, so I switched to filling in the vegetation first, and the island contours later on. This proved to work much better - and the result is, I think, quite nice, though ofcourse it can't ever reach the heights of the maps in the module itself.
